Amid work stoppage, players join Packers’ tour

Associated Press – April 5, 2011 6:25 PM ET GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) – Despite a work stoppage that generally prohibits contact between NFL players and teams, the Green Bay Packers plan to have linebacker Desmond Bishop, quarterback Matt Flynn and offensive lineman Josh Sitton on next month’s “Tailgate Tour.” The team says the tour will raise money for charities as it visits five cities from May 10-14. The players will join Packers president and CEO Mark Murphy, who played a key role representing owners in recent negotiating sessions over a new collective bargaining agreement.

Off-duty cops supported Underwood’s story

The Lake Delton police records of the sexual assault investigation involving Green Bay Packers cornerback Brandon Underwood show Milwaukee police officers corroborated the NFL player’s story along with the other Packers involved in the June 2010 incident.
