City Leaders End Push for Green Bay Packers Parade

By Kristin Byrne Green Bay leaders officially ended their push to host a post-Super Bowl parade downtown. The mayor and other city leaders tried to convince the Packers to hold a parade as part of the team’s homecoming plans, but the Packers are sticking to their original plan. That calls for the players to arrive at about 2 o’clock Monday afternoon at Austin Straubel International Airport and leave aboard buses to go straight to the stadium — from the airport to Packerland Drive, on Hazelwood Lane, then Lombardi Avenue to Lambeau Field.
